Customize Inbox Sub Folder Inheritance

Why doesnt, or how can I get... inbox sub folders to inherit the inbox customizations ? In Outlook 2k3, each folder stands on its own for customizing, I dont want to have to go through every subfolder to change the settings on view and font.

I second the question. Isn't there some way to apply a customized view to ALL the folders at once. For example, I want to get rid of the grid lines altogether on all of my folders. Nothing I've tried seems to accomplish this without doing it for each folder independently

Anyone out there who knows how to do this, please reply
