Customize current view doesn/t work reverts to default

When I try to customize the current view of persoanl contacts and then reopen
later, the view that appears is the old one.

Version of Outlook?
Which view are you in?
Which method of modifying your view do you use?
Which modifications did you make?
Tried resetting the view already?
