Custom Templates In PowerPoint 2000

Donna

I've created a custom template in PP 2000 and saved it as
a Design Template with a .pot extension. When I create a
new presenation and choose this template, the pages are
blank and i can't get the template to appear on pages.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Donna,

I'm getting a whiff of Old Bay Seasoning as I read your message. Is it
still blue crab season? Actually, my family drives by Baltimore Spice
almost every day, and we try to figure out what you're making.

Have you made the changes to the slide master or the slide itself. I
believe that a design template picks up information from the master and
the color scheme, not the slide itself.

To create a template, you need to go to View > Master > Slide Master and make
all changes there. Then save it as a Design Template. What you have probably
done is to create a blank template but with a slide that has your settings and
background, etc. See
