custom animations PPT2003

would like to use a "shake" effect animation. Best I could come up with is
to modify the motion paths "spring" effect. I have it pretty close to what
I want but the effect runs about too long (8-10 seconds). Is there a way I
can cut the run time down to may 2-3 seconds? Also is there a way I can
specify the entrance direction (right instead of left side) when using the
entrance "light speed" animation. I am using WinXP and PPT2003. thanks for
any help-comments....

Gary,
For the entrance effect, light speed, maybe combine the entrance effect with
the animation path left starting with previous. You can adjust the two
animations using the advanced timing line. If you give them the same length
it seems to work just fine.
For the spring effect, you can use any timing you like, either go to the
effect options by double clicking on the entry in the custom animation task
pane and using the timing tab or adjust the timing in the advanced time
line. You can put in any speed in the speed box, just type in and press
enter.
