Custom Animation

I want to be able to have an arrow follow a path on a map and leave a dotted
line representing the route taken. I am able to use motion path custom
animation to have the arrow move along the correct route but as yet I have
been unable to signify the route with a dotted line

Hope this is self explanatory

Can anyone help?

Add an entrance animation for your dotted line and have it animate at the
same time as your arrow (Animation Event: With Previous) -- make sure you
match the animation speed as well.
