Cursor to End of Form Field

Is there a way in a form field to have the cursor, upon tabbing, move to the
end of the text that may already be in the field, an append instead of a
comlete selection and replace? Thank you kind people!

Does End not work for you?

It doesn't work for my customer. He'd just like to tab along and append info
to existing info. Thanks Suzanne. I think you are genius by the way!

Well, not in this case, apparently. I hadn't tried it, just assumed it would
work in form fields as in other types of fillin boxes. The problem, of
course, is that when you tab into a form field, the entire field is
selected, and you need to deselect it before typing so you don't replace it.
I have tried this now, however, and find that either End or Right Arrow will
place the insertion point at the end of the existing text and allow me to
add more. This is in Word 2003. I don't know why it's not working for your
customer.

Ah, okay, well, I don't have a solution for user laziness. <g>

This is just the opposite of the situation being discussed elsewhere
regarding the Go To dialog, where the current value is *not* selected, so
when you type in a new page number, it is appended to the old one instead of
replacing it. I am unable to imagine the thought process of the genius who
came up with this brilliant change in behavior (which I believe occurred
between Word 95 and Word 97).
