Cursor jumps around

When I am writing in Microsoft Word or Final Draft the cursor
occasionally jumps up to the preceding paragraph while I am typing.
This uaully happens after I have copied and pasted text from one spot
in the document to another.

Is there a fix for this?

Common causes include Speech recognition software, Wireless devices.

Is this on a laptop by any chance? If so are you brushing the
touchpad when you type?
