cursor disappears off right side of screen

just got a widescreen monitor, requiring 1440x900 resolution. Since the
change, my cursor goes off the right side of the screen (stops as it's
supposed to on the left side). Any help appreciated.

In Display Properties click on display 2 and unselect
"Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor."

Both boxes for display 1 should be selected.
