CSV Text to date import

Stacey

I am trying to import a file into Access from a .csv file. The problem that
I am experiencing is that the date field is in text and in reverse order
"082101". Does anyone know how to change the text field to date and convert
it to a standard (01/21/08) format within Access (either at import or after)?
Thanks in advance!

Pat that was not my intention...I was experiencing problems posting my
question to the forum....the original question that I posted to the forum was
made four days ago...since I did not see it, I reposted....only to see that
finally my question was posted (a few days later)....and it included all
other attempts too. Is there anyway I can remove a posting? I really hope
that no one gets annoyed or thinks any ill of my attempts to seek help.
Sorry!

I don't know of any way to remove posts. If something like this happens
again, just post a response to your own message so that others will ignore
it. You don't want people wasting their time with a solution that you may
have from a different instance of the post.

I'll keep that in mind.....btw I did close out all of the duplicate postings
that way. Take care.
