CSV Import Rename Broken?

Has anyone else encountered a problem renaming fields when importing CSV
files in Access 2002 SP3? All of my machines _before_ SP3 can import ("get
external data") a comma-delimited text file such as
"one","two","three"
"four","five","six"
fine, and let me rename Field1 then rename Field2, then Field3. But all my
machines with SP3 refuse to rename anything except Field1. I can highlight
Field2 or Field3, but they won't rename: only Field1 ever, ever renames. I
can workaround it by choosing the "advanced" field -- but then one doesn't
see the data in the column; or I can work around by using a header line to
begin with. But the rename seems broken on all my SP3 machines (10.6501.6626
SP3, 10.6771.6735 SPE, etc.) Is there a fix?

This is a known issue for ACCESS 2002 SP3. This issue is described in

There is a Hotfix available from Microsoft Technical Support for this
