Crosstab Report

I'm having an issue with a report which is based on a crosstab query in that
the fields vary based on the criteria used in the underlying query. How does
one get around this problem?

For instance, I could run the report once and it could return 4 open, 12
pending, 5 closed and then I could run it again and get 3 closed. If I build
my report to accommadate all three possibilities, then it spits out errors
when they are not present?

How can I get around this issue?

The easiest solution might be to add all possible stati values in the Column
Headings property of the crosstab query.

explicitly explained ('Column Headings property').
