Critical Update for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 (KB838358)

I have installed this update for Windows Media Centre and
the Live TV has now stopped working.

When My TV is selected the following error message comes
up:

"Some of the files needed to play radio or video are
missing or corrupt. Try restarting the computer. Go to
HELP for additional trouble shooting information."

Please can you tell how this can be fixed.

Have now used the system restore and this error message has gone away.

But, the sound then stopped working through the optical out.

Have reinstalled the nVidia drivers and this fixed the problem for the music, but has not fixed the problem with My TV.

Anyone got any ideas?
