Can you, or Jeff, say what version of Windows you are installing, on, and
what user is doing the install?
I can see that you are installing on XP, and would guess that your dad has
XP Home--but I can't tell for sure from the post.
Hmm--your dad is probably running as Owner, and you take over those
permissions when you install via Remote Assistance.
I don't have a fix for you--the fixes posted in the groups for this issue
are: 1) Control Panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware,
change, update.
If that fails, uninstall, and then reinstall, the product.
If both those fail I'm wondering whether uninstalling and then installing
when logged in as the true administrator in safe mode might do the job--but
that's one you can't do via Remote Assistance, I'm afraid.
