Credentials for Printer Sharing

Have a Vista Desktop and a Vista Notebook with a home wireless network which
seems to work fine - each can see the other, can share files etc. Have an
administrator user (with a password) and a standard user (no password) on
each. The desktop has an attached HP All in One that I can print to from the
administrator user on the notebook just fine. When I try to connect the
printer for the standard user on the notebook, Vista asks me for credentials
(user name and password). No clue as to what they are asking for - have
tried every user name/password combination I have including the one for the
router and nothing acceptable. Printer sharing is enabled without a password
required on both systems. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what's
required?

Chuckles,

Besides reading the Bible that Gloria gave you, I'll advise you of two details:
1) You can turn off Password Protected Sharing, which gives you the equivalent
of Simple File Sharing.
2) Whether you use PPS Enabled (and non-Guest accounts) or PPS Disabled (and
Guest accounts) for network access, make sure that account is enabled for
network use.
