Hi all

Hope some one can Help me with this one. I am working on a price list and need to create a formula where I select a platform ie. BCM50 or BCM450, once this was selected you will then be able to only select the part no's for that platform of equipment.
1. How do I create a formula that will only show the selected platforms part numbes.
2. How do I create a formula where the part number is selected and the desctiption is imported into the description field and the price is imported into the price field for that relevant part number.

These fields are located in Colm A, B & C of my excel work sheet.

BCM 50

Part no. - Description - Price
NTBU2174 - BCM 50 3.0 (4x8x2x2 IP with VM8) - $1,499.00
NTBU2175 - BCM 50e 3.0 (4x8x2x2 IP with VM8) - $2,029.00
NTBU2176 - BCM 50a 3.0 (4x8x2x2 IP with VM8) - $2,129.00

BCM 200 & BCM 400
Part no. - Description - Price
NT7B10 - BCM 4.0 - $3,599.00
NT7B10a - BCM 4.0 - $5,999.00
NTPW0119 - BCM Expansion - $1,129.00

I would really appreciate any assistance with this problem.

I'm not an Excel expert, but I think if you do some research in to Combo/Dropdown Boxes then you may find what you are after:

http://www.meadinkent.co.uk/xldropdown.htm

This way, you can select the platform from the dropdown box and then the part no. / desc / price will all be displayed depending on your selection.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I hope this points you in the right direction. :)
