Creating Distribution Lists

I inadvertantly deleted an Outlook Pro 2003 distribution list after using it
to send an email to nearly 100 recipients. I have the message, and I would
like to use it to create the distribution list again.

I followed the Help instructions, but when I try to add to a new DL I get a
message because Outlook doesn't find an address. (The sent message shows
only the names, not the addresses.)

If I do a "Forward," I can see the addresses as well as the names in the To
field, but File > New doesn't give me a DL option!

How can I create a replacement DL?

Thanks!

Look in your Deleted Items folder. Drag it back to the
contacts folder. (Outlook 2003)

Thanks, Chuck, but it's too late for that: since I had closed and re-opened
Outlook, the items in that folder were long gone. However, I was able to
recreate the list because I have an Excel file with the names and email
addresses. I opened a new DL window, clicked on Add Members, and pasted them
into the Members field.

However, as a theoretical matter I'd still like to know how to create a
distribution list from an email in the Sent Items folder.
