Creating Accounts via .oeaccount files

Hi all,

I have a utility that creates oeaccount files in order to make configuring
e-mail accounts easier - although its not working correctly...

I am also unable to make the samples work ...

Ok, background:

The details that I followed are on here:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms715237(VS.85).aspx#ww_example, as
are the samples.

My mail store on my test machine is
C:\Users\Andy\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail, as confirmed through
Tools > Options > Advanced > Maintenance.

The file is placed is this folder and the machine rebooted; but it:
- doesnt get moved
- no new accounts created

Is there any logging that I can check to even confirm that Windows Mail has
found the new file and processed (or attempted to) it?

Regards,

If you're trying to set up an account at neillans.co.uk, note that that site
hasn't been registered in your country's main DNS server long enough
for it to be reachable from this part of the world, if it's been registered
at all. If you don't register it, then address (e-mail address removed) won't
be reachable from anywhere in the world. Also, if no server has been
set up for it, just creating an account for it under Windows Mail won't
help. Many internet providers offer to set up email servers for you,
but charge for this.

Hi Robert,

I can assure that my dns is configured and live, and in fact working for the
domain, however, that is not the problem -- this is actually under a
different domain ;)

I should add there is nothing wrong with the server side account settings
either - we are in control of both client & server. It is just the
persuading Windows Mail to automatically pickup the new account through the
oeaccount files that is posing a problem....
