Creating Access 2007 Macro that will accept user input to search for a value

I would like to create a Microsoft 2007 macro that will prompt a user to enter a report number and then search for and return the record from a form. I would like to either use SearchForRecord or FindRecord. Can anyone help? I looked online I could not find any examples to modify for my use. I do not want the search string to be hard-coded in the macro.
