creating a simple report

Paul Roche

I hope someone out there can help me with my" simple report".
I have been able to build a db from scratch, importing data enry shipment
registrations and quality control data from excel.
The problem I have run into is being able to compare month to month changes
in the total , or summary reports. It is very handy to be able to see the
variance, or change from pone month to the next.
I have the customer survey data field in the tables set to Dat/Time, so now
I need to learn how to create the next step in order to report the change?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
My IT department is unavaiulable to help with this insignificant task.
Hah.

How depends on what ... and I don't have a very clear picture of what
data/fields/tables you're working with.

More info, please...

Jeff,
I have two seperate tables that I am using to hold customer information from
different sources. Both tables have a common alpha/numerical identifier.
These separtae table are combined in the queries when a customer applies
numerical scores rating their customer satisfaction. These scores are also
qualified with the date that the person rates, or scores. These scores ar
viable for a rolling 12 month period. I have created reports that I am using
to describe the program to the mamagement team, but I have been un-able to
create a field in the report that would show the changes in the amount of
surveys and the amount of the change in their average score from the previous
months time period.
I have done this rpeviously in excel manually, but would like to be able to
create an expression that would calculate the detailas in the report for me.
Thanks for your reply and willingness to help!!
Paul
