Creating a Dfs Link

When using active directory to create a Dfs root the
following occurs: Distrubuted file system Error: The
following occurred while creating Dfs root on server
server1.microsoft.com: The RPC server is unavailable.
Does anyone know why this happens? Please help.

server1.microsoft.com ? Hmmm. Can you post your domain information ? RPC
Server is unavailable means probably, that you have DNS issues. Are you
using microsoft.com as your internal AD domain ? Nothing wrong with that,
but you must point your servers DNS settings to the internal DNS servers for
AD to function properly.
