I was wondering if it was possible to create a pareto chart in excel? I
so, does anyone have a tutorial on how to do so? Thanks

You'll need the Analysis Toolpack to create Pareto Charts. Once installed,
run Data Analysis and choose Histogram. An option for the Histogram tool
is Pareto.

What is the format of the data? That is, is it a list of text values, or is
it already summarized in a sorted frequency distribution?

The Histogram tool has a Pareto option, but it's limited to summarizing
numerical values.

If it's a list of text values, I've always used Pivot Tables to get the data
for the Pareto.
