Create new pst

Can any one tell me how to create a new pst file? I
recently hit the 2GB size limit and had to do the cut and
repair routine. As I consider my options for the future,
It seems the incoveniences of exporting/importing or
archiving are not conducive to quick retrieval of info in
a customer service environement. Could'nt I more easily
create a new pst file every 6 months and switch to the one
I need when retrieving old emails through the
File/Open/Personal Folder File approach? If yes, how do I
create a new pst file?

Use the "Archive..." option from the "file menu". This will create a new
..pst file for any folders you put in there. One thing though - you should
once-in-awhile "compact" the active pst file to reduce the size of it. You
do this from the Outlook desktop icon, right click to open "Properties",
then pick "data files", then pick "settings" and then "compact now". If you
have never done this and receive and delete lots of mail, you will be amazed
by how much this will reduce the size of the pst file.
