What do you mean you have crashed it?

I doubt replacing the board will make a difference if the data platters are that badly corrupted.

Have you tried using any data recovery software to try to retrieve what you may have lost?

Same drive

How did you make out with your problem?
I have a drive exactly like yours and the motor does not spin.
Do you have a PCB that will work on the drive?
Please e-mail me.
Thanks

In our case we have a bad connection to the mains adapter, I'm trying to figure out whether it's:

a) the socket on the board (to me it looks OK, sturdy) or

b) the plug on the cable.

On the plug, one of four gold pins *may* be missing.
There's certainly space for a fourth (two either side of the plastic guide pin).

Adapter here is Rexon AC-005.

Please, can anyone advise whether this type of adapter should have three or four pins?
