CPU usage 100%

Hello,

I am running several DOS "windowed" applications and I soon as I start them
(any of them) the CPU usage goes up to 100%.
Is there anything that can be done about it? Is that behavior application
specific or simply DOS specific?

PS: One app is an old FoxPro DOS 2.6a app.
