1. Bring up Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete), go to the
Processes tab and locate the "problem" instance of SVCHOST.EXE (Note
that there will probably be 6 different instances of svchost running).
Make note of the PID value for that instance.

2. Open a Command Prompt windows (Start - Run - CMD) and enter the
following command:

TASKLIST /SVC

Locate the problem instace of SVHOST using the PID number and make a
list of the individual service names that are running under that
instance. Post that information back here.

I suspect that we will discover that you have a malware (virus,
spyware, trojan, etc) infestation of some kind on your computer. Try
booting your computer into "Safe Mode with Networking" and then going
to one of the following free online scanners to check out the system:
Bit Defender http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com
Kaspersky Online Scanner http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Panda ActiveScan http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan
WindowSecurity.com TrojanScan http://windowssecurity.com/trojanscan
Webroot http://www.webroot.com/

Good luck

Dear Ron Martell,

Thx for your reply.

Maybe I find the error service
When I stopped SSDP Discovery Service
the scvhost.exe become normal
and after reboot, everything just like normal
the svchost.exe wont consume 100% of my cpu usage already.

here is the PID number of my problem svchost.exe
(After stopped SSDP Disvocery Service)
PID : 652
Services : AudioSrv, CryptSvc, Dhcp, dmserver, ERSvc, EventSystem
helpsvc, lanmanserver, lanmanworkstation, Netman, NLA, Schefule, Seclogon,
SENS, SharedAccess, ShellHWDextion, Themes, TrkWks, W32Time, winmgmt, wscsvc,
wuauserv, WZCSVC

But im wonder that,
would my computer have nagative effect if I stopped SSDP Discovery Service?
I may Scan Virsus later, but my computer is formatted b4 installing the new
WinXP
Would I have chances to be infected? : O

Thx for your help again.

Regards,
Yonnie

Under some circumstances computers can become infested with viruses &
spyware within 30 seconds of being connected to the Internet unless
adequate firewalls and protective software are in place.

Looking over your list of processes I see one questionable item -
ShellHWDextion. A google search produces zero hits. Are you sure
you have this name correct? If so then it is probably a malware
related item of some kind.

Good luck
