I have a ASUS P5VDC-MX ver. 2.0 775-socket motherboard with an Intel Pentium D 3.00 GHZ cpu. I am running Windows XP Home Edition. The question that I have, is that I know that I can upgrade to an Intel Pentium Core Duo CPU with the motherboard that I have, but the Core Duo's GHZ are smaller then what I have. They only go up to 2.00 GHZ? So, is the Intel Pentium D that I have is better then the Core Duo's? Thank you.

Hi,

The Pentium D is faster than the Intel Core Duo . I would say that the Intel Core Duo is better because it more up to date and it has two CPUS in it.
