Count specific words in MS Word

G

Guest

I want to count specific words in a document. For example how many times
appears thos words in a documente:

-Develope
-Implement
-Ensure
etc.

I want to obtain a table at the end of the document or in other documents
that looks like:

-Develope: 11 times
-Implement: 8 times
-Ensure: 2 times
etc.

Generally in certains technical books you can find at the end in what pages
appears some terms. It's like this, but only to count.

Thank you

Use Find/Replace to Find the word and replace it with itself.

Each time you Replace All, Word will tell you how many replacements it made,
and therefore, how many found words the document contained.

You can automate this using VBA to print your table, but that's quite a bit
of programming (particularly if you are not good at VBA) so you will find it
quicker to do it manually.
