could someone help me out please

I have a few programs on converting avi to vcd or regular dvd and i am just
trying to get hold of a simple one to use as i have downloaded some movies
from kazaa and wish to either convert them from AVI to VCD or regular dvd as
they are the only formats that my home dvd player will play could you
suggest the name of a simple program that does this and is there any such
thing as converting avi to dvd for dummies.

most appreciated if you could help
me out on this matter.

DVD2SVCD and TMPGEnc. Together they will convert an avi to VCD.
