Could not connect to printer (win 2000 sp4)

Hi,

I'm working on Win 2000 SP4. Ican't install network printer (HP). I'm
getting a message "Could not connect to the printer. You either entered a
Printer name that was incorrect ...". Is any one solve this problem.

YES I AM USEING WIN 2000 I CAN'T GET MY CANON BJC 250

TO WORK, WHEN I CLICK ON PRINTER I GET AND MESSAGE THAT
SAID NOT ENOUGHT RESOURES

Did you configure the network settings on the jet direct
port? Also did you install HP's jetadmin? Install that
on your print server first, and configure the printer how
you like. Then i would try and establish a connection to
the printer.
