Corrupt Web Browser/Registry

A Trojan virus invaded my computer. It changed my web browser to a http://find4u.net/index.htm. Also, it attaches several porn sites to my favorite box. The name of the virus was TrojanBite.Verify

I did run a virus scan on my computer and deleted the virus. According to the Nortan Antivirus program I no longer have a virus. Nevertheless, my computer continues to run very slowly and I have been unable to get rid of the unwanted web browser or the porn links. I did go into the control panel and change my home page. I also tried putting a block on the web browser as well as the porn links.

In trying to research why this might be happening I have surmised that the virus may have corrupted my registry. However, I have no idea what commands in the registry are supposed to be there and which are corrupt. Help!

If you have a System Restore Point from before the infection, restore
the system to this Restore Point. Else see "Home Page Setting Changes
Unexpectedly, or You Cannot Change Your Home Page Setting"
"How to Restore the Operating System to a Previous State in Windows
XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306084)
