Corrupt file

The computer keeps telling me that there is a corrupt file :
"The file or directory WINDOWS Prefetch RNDAL.EXE-15330267.pf is corrupt and
unreadable. Please run the CHKDSK utility."
I've gone under Start, to My Computer, then to right click to properties on
Local Disk (C:), then Tools, then the check now button under error checking,
and then we check the "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" and the
start button. However, it has always come back clean.
Does anyone have any idea what I could do next or what the problem might
be??

Anything in the prefetch folder can be deleted, so just delete the file and
xp will rebuild it if necessary.

Make sure that Folder Options - View is set to show Hidden files, and
*not* Hide Protected mode ones, then go to the Windows\Prefetch folder,
and delete that RNDAL. . . . file
The system will in due course make a new one - it is only a record of
files accessed when that program loads.

I would also take a look at the actual rndal.exe (without anything
else), wherever it may be - possibly in Program files, and make sure it
is in fact something you want around
