I saved a presentation that was getting to be to large in size. It saved, but I can't open it now. I receive an error message that says "powerpoint cannot open the type of file represented by powerpoint". I did go over the recovering a corrupt presentation and nothing worked. Please help

Did you save it to your hard drive, or to removable media like a thumb drive?
I'm assuming that you mean you tried everything at
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00108.htm. Did you try CloneMe? Did you try
Star Office?

I did not save it to anywhere else. I cannot even open it at all. I didn't try those 2 programs because what is the guarntee they will work after spending the money on them?

Clone Me is free. Open Office is free. You asked for help, but you'll have to
do the leg work yourself. People have reported that in some cases they have
worked. There is no guarantee, but without trying them I can guarantee that
your presentation will remain in its corrupt state.
