Corrupt event viewer log!

Hi,

I just opened the Event Viewer>Application tap when I was suddenly
confronted with "The event log file viewer is corrupt" and "application"
closed.

I reopend it via Control panel>admini tool and the same thing happend after
a few minutes.
I run sfc /scannow with no effect.

Any ideas on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Disabling the Event Log Service will purge all existing logs, and clear
the corruption.

To do so, go to Start - Run and type services.msc then press enter.

On the right look for "Event Log" right click on this and go to
Properties. Under startup type change this to "Disable" then restart the
computer. After correcting the problem don't forget to reset the service
back to "Automatic" .
