copying text from internet

hiya, when i copy pictures or some text from the intenet, it comes up as(for
example):

INCLUDEPICTURE "http://www.recipetips.com/images/spacer.gif" \*
MERGEFORMATINET in brackets
then i have to toggle field codes and its the same with text- it comes up as
a hyperlink which is really annoying
does anyone know who to stop this?

How do you do the copying? Are you switching to Source View or something?

Just highlight and copy what you want, open a new blank document, and click
Paste. The highlights should go right into it.

If that's not happening, soemthing's wrong somewhere and you'll ahve to
provide some actual information to work from.

Either select the picture and then CTRL+SHIFT+F9
or
Use edit paste special as device independent bitmap (or as text in the case
of text).
or
Right click the picture on the web page and choose SaveAs - then insert the
saved file into your document.

thanks 4 the reply,
i just highlight text or picture of the internet i want using Ctrl and C and
press Ctrl and V to copy it
