copying ppt to CD

I have tried to make an autorun CD of my slideshow and I
have tried pack and go. Both procedures have not worked
for me as there are missing music files which I have
checked and rechecked but just don't get played.
However...if I click onto the individual ppt the music
will play. Since the ppt plays on straight from
powerpoint...can I not simply just burn the slideshow
which is all contained in one folder onto a CD and hope
the user knows how to use powerpoint and can open to the
presentation mode. I am also aware the fonts will change
when played on different computers.
This is not the way I wanted to package my ppt but what
choices do I have?

When you click on the individual ppt (did you mean individual slide?), is it
shown with PowerPoint or the PowerPoint 97 viewer?

If you save as PowerPoint Slide Show or change the file extension to pps,
the file will open in presentation mode.

Embed fonts in your presentation
On the File menu, click Save As.
On the toolbar, click Tools, click Save Options, select the Embed TrueType
Fonts check box, and then do one of the following:
To embed only those characters used in the presentation, select Embed
characters in use only (best for reducing file size).
To embed all the characters in the font set, select Embed all characters
(best for editing by others).
Note If you plan to have others review and edit your file, it's best to
embed the full font set, though that creates a larger file.
