Copying photos to Cd

J

John Moore

I have XP home edition. I cannot copy pictures on my
computer to a CD. Under picture task when I click on
copy all items to a CD, all I get is a box in the upper
left hand corner with these options. Copy here Move
here Create shortcuts here and Cancel. Do I need to
get other software or is Xp supposed to have this
capability? What is the problem? I can make music CD,
but I cannot copy anything else to a CD. I tried to copy
a word document to CD by just highlighting file and rt
click and sent to CD and I get an error box that states D
drive not accessible incorrect function. This is the
same box I get when I highlight a picture folder and try
to send to the CD also.
Thanks for any help and suggestions.

I assume that you are trying to copy photos from "My
Pictures" under "My Documents". There should be an
option under file tasks to "copy to CD". If there is
not, you have to enable the drive. One thought...have
you loaded a back-up program onto your system that might
be interfering with copying files?

To enable your drive:
click start; left click My Computer; right click on CD-RW
drive; click Properties; click Recording Tab; check
the "enable CD" box.

If this does not work, you may need to talk to someone in
technical support to find the glich that reroutes the
copy to cd command.

Hope this helps!
