Copying files to new hard drive

I installed a new segate 100GB hard drive and used the utilities CD to format
it, but either Windows XP Home edition won't let the files be copied from my
boot drive (C:) to the new hard drive (D:) or there is something wrong with
the CD. Windows recognize's the hard drive (D:) and its partitions (NTFS) but
won't copy the files over to it. I've tried both method's on the CD, i.e. the
Windows DiscWizard utility and the DOS utility and both come back saying the
volume on the new hard drive (D:) is not large enough (?) which is bull
because I'm only copying over 9+GB worth of files over to it, am I missing
something here ?? Sorry for the run on but I'm gettin alittle frustrated with
the problem.

Seagate should have a utility you can use to clone the old
drive to the new drive.
