Copying a range from Excel to PPT

I am having difficulty copy a range from Excel; then pasting it into PPT as
'paste sepcial-picture(enhanced metafile). What happens is that the text
font properties do not carry over, yet the cell properties do. For example,
if I copy and paste a cell that is shaded, the shading copies over fine to
PPT; however, if the cell has text that is set up to display as red with
parentheses if the value is negative, everything copies over except the red
text color.

Some of my colleagues are experiencing the same exact thing; others are not.

Set your default printer as a color printer, and the red fonts will come
over just fine.

Another trick: While in Excel, select the cells, hold SHIFT and click
the Edit menu. Click Copy Picture in the menu and click OK. Switch to
PPT and paste regular. The red should show up in the picture.
