Copy to CD problem

Hi, I just finished a presentation used the Copy to CD function and it seemed
to work. I wanted to check to make sure it worked ok as I needed to make
multiple copies. When I went to open it - the license agreement for the
viewer came up - which was fine and then I tried to open the presentation and
it gave me an error message something about the ppt viewer (sorry didn't
write it down). Was there a step missed? If you have PPT already will it
not load the viewer?
Also, if I'm sure the receipent has PPT can I copy to a CD without using the
Copy to CD function? And do they need to have the same version (which is ver
2003)?

Thanks.

Try using the Package for CD option and select copy to folder. Under options
make sure that the Include viewer is selected and if you have any linked
files make sure that linked files is also check marked. Once it has copied
to folder, use you CD burning software to copy the files from the folder to
the root of your CD. Once this is done, in the future with new presentations
all you have to do is copy your new presentation to the folder and change
the file names in the playlist.txt file.

In addition to Michael's information, yes, you can just put the presentation
on the CD if you know the recipient has the same version of PPT you have. Of
course, it won't autorun in PPT or anything, but they can double-click the
file to open it in PPT.

I would use your CD burning software or Windows XP's CD burning capability
to burn the file to CD rather than use copy/paste. I don't trust those
"direct CD" utilities that treat CDs just like another drive and let you
copy/paste from/to them.

"which was fine and then I tried to open the presentation and
it gave me an error message something about the ppt viewer"

You will need to try again and let us know what the error message says.
