Is there a way to copy protect a vb.net app? I am thinking may be activation
of some sort over tel or internet. Has anyone done something on these lines?

If your looking for actual Activation then you can use something like
InstallSheild, or roll your own.

Hi John,

Crypkey works well.
I've used it alot, but you need to use a 3rd party product to
obfuscate the net assemblies. I've tested DotFuscator from PreEmtpive,
and ilFuscator from ... I can't remember. But I was able to crack them
both.
What level of protection are you looking for?
A mild deterrent or rock solid copy protection?

Sure, many apps use activation. You can use a ready to use system like CryptoLicensing which does activations, machine locking, trials, etc.
