Copy & Paste

Let's say I have data in the clipboard and I want to copy this data into one
field and 2000 records. In Excel you can highlight the 2000 cells and it
will paste the data on the clipboard into the 2000 cells. Is there a way to
do this in Access 2003? My fingers will be down to nubs doing a copy and
paste on 2000 records.

Thank you

In a database you use an update query for this.

In the "Update To" box paste your data and then run it.

You can paste by highlighting the same number of record-fields in Access as
was copied. Make a backup copy of table first.
