Copy calculated field

Hi,

Is it possible to copy the calculated fields from one pivot report to another?

I have to re-create a pivot report from a database based on a current
report. There are a few such reports that need to be re-created and each
report has a number of calculated fields. I am hoping to find an easier way
to create these formulas (calculated fields) rather than creating each one
manually for each report.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you copy the entire pivot table and paste it somewhere else, the new
table will use the existing pivot cache, including all the calculated
fields etc.
You can then change the new table to suit your different analyses of the
data.

You don't say what version of Excel you are using, but in 2007 go to
PivotTable Tools|Options ribbon > Actions group: Select>Entire
PivotTable, then copy and paste as needed.
