Copy animation settings (or VBA)

F

Frans van Zelm

L.s.,

In a PPt 2002 presentation (700+ slides) I lost many animation settings.
How that happened, I can't tell. Too many slides, action buttons, animated
objects?

Can I copy-paste these settings from-to existing objects?
Or can I write VBA to applay similar setting to objects? (The recorder seems
to ingore these commands.)
Settings should be (sorry for wrong translation from Dutch):
- Fly in
- from right
- 3 seconds after slide is shown
- hide on next mouse click

A kiss for ...

Kind regards, Frans van Zelm

Check out PowerTools Edit Toolbar which has an animation "copy & paste" tool
that works great!

Hi Troy,

Your toolbar works. Thanks a lot.

I'd like to learn a bit of PPt-VBA-programming myself. Can / would you so
kind
to learn me the trick. If not: I can understand and it is okay with me.

Why things went broke with my animations? Later, I remembered that I
used the save-option to reduce pictures to 96 dpi. It looks like the newly
added pictures (that still had to be reduced) lost their animation. I didn't
do a replay yet (very busy on my presentation: +750 slides by now.)

Animations are associated with objects. If you insert a new object (even
if it is based on the old one), it doesn't retain its animation. If you
want to learn a little VBA, you might check out Where Can I Learn More
About VBA Programming in PowerPoint from the PPT FAQ:

Glad the toolbar worked. But to set the record straight, it is not my
toolbar, just one I purchased and use (a lot!). My project load is to big to
for the time needed to invest in developing VBA add-ins. So I just keep my
ears open to what the real developers have created and make use of those
tools that improve my workflow.
