Copied slides lose text formatting

When combining various presentations received in emails into one master
presentation the text font sizes change. I am copying/pasting in slide
sorter view into a new template which has my required font sizes . The
pasted pages do not take on the formatting of the slide in front of them. I
do not want to use the keep source formatting option since the files are not
always formatted properly. Why aren't the pasted pages taking on the
formatting of the page in front of them?

I am wasting valuable time reformatting each line of text!!

Help.

If the text is in the slide placeholders ("click to add text"), then it will
take on the formatting of the presentation you paste it into. Sometimes you
may have to reapply the slide layout (Format|Slide Layout) to force the
reformatting, though.

If the text has been entered into manual textboxes, it won't change fonts or
size -- but it may change color depending on what color was used on the
manual textbox in the first place.

Try using Insert--> Slides--> From File. It is easier to insert the slides
and the default is to absorb the formatting of the file the slides are going
into. Another option is to re-apply the slide layout to the slides which
should re-set them back to the formatting defined in the master.
If neither of these options will work, post back with your PPT version and
we can see what else we can come up with.
