Copied harddrive, now can't receive POP3 email (error 0x8007007e)

I copied my harddrive to a new one using the installation software that came
with the drive. I have reinstalled Office, but that does not solve the
problem.

Now I can't receive POP3 emails. I get unknown error 0x8007007e. Send works
OK.

This is with Office 2003, Windows XP.

It seems this is an old problem that has not been addressed by Microsoft.

Does anyone have a solution, or something to try?

Just had the same problem for the same reason.
Fixed it by running "Detect and Repair" from the help menu.

I ran "Detect and Repair", which completed OK, but it didn't help me.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Uninstalling, and reinstalling Office 2003 solved the problem. Reinstalling
without uninstalling did not help, nor did running the repair procedure.

Thanks to DB for his/her suggestion, and to anyone else who spent any time
