cookies must be enabled?

I keep getting a message on one particular site that I
must have cookies enabled to access the site. I set my
privacy setting to "accept all cookies" and emptied the
temporary internet files. I still get the same message.
When I try to access the site on another machine in my
home (also running IE6) the site loads without a problem.
The privacy settings are set at default on this machine.
The first machine is XP with all the updates and service
packs current. The second machine is ME.

I tried everything below to no avail. I even tried to
reinstall IE6,, but got a message that the installer
detected a newer version already installed and then
aborted. Any more Ideas?
