Converting WMV9 files to .asf format

Help please!

I have a web page builder program that will only accept Windows Media Player
files to be inserted as .ASF format. If I try to insert the .mswmm file
(WMV9 format) it will not play. I do have the ability to insert other
plugins into my web if that is the answer, otherwise how to convert to the
"old" .ASF format?????

MSWMM is just the Microsoft Movie Maker project file format. You need to
select File...Save Movie File from the menu and go through the wizard to
publish your video file which will play in Windows Media Play.

Okay, yeah that much I understand. But I need .ASF format, whatever format
movie maker is saving it in, is isn't .ASF because it doesn't play in my web
page builder when I insert>object>windows media player. What in the hell is
..ASF anyway? That is my only option for sucees or throw away my web build
program (ouch).

Brian,

Try just renaming a WMV file to ASF..... it might just work as the file
types are really the same.
