I currently use Outlook 2003 on my workstation. The rest of our organization
uses Outlook 2002. This includes our Citrix servers.
I recently created an off-line PST file for storing archived mail and
reducing the mailbox size. I have others for each year. I found out that if
I try to access the 2005 Archive PST file while connected via Citrix (thus
using Outlook 2002), I get a message that it is not in a format compatible
with this version. (Outlook 2003).
Apparently, PST files created with Outlook 2003 are incompatible with older
versions. I have two questions:
1) Is it possible to convert the PST without having to create a new PST and
move the messages?
2) How do I configure Outlook 2003 to create a PST that is compatible with
Outlook 2002?
This will go away in about 6-9 months when we migrate to Exchange 2003 and
Office 2003, but I'd like to solve this before then...
TIA.
