Converting music files

I have an I River MP3 and I just downloaded files from the internet. The
files are listed as "Windows Media" and will not play on my MP3. Other
files, however, are listed as MP3 and do play. Is there a way to convert
them from WM to MP3?

First check that there isn't a more recent firmware or database release for
your iRiver that supports WMA. When I bought my first iRiver, although it
said it supported WMA on the box, I had to get a special update from iRiver
to enable it!

Otherwise there are plenty of ways to do the conversion, just google
"convert WMA MP3"

If you want to convert a number of files from WMP to MP3 download and
install Razorlame, don't forget to download a file called Lame, it has to go
in the same folder as Razorlame, this program is a freebie and is very simple
to use, very fast and very configurable. If you transfer the WMA files to MP3
at 128kbs you will maintain the CD quality.
