Converting .mov to something that uses less space

Does anyone know how can I achieve this without loosing too much of
the quality? My digicam makes nice movies in HD resolution but they're
by far to large. I tried a couple of free converters but the quality
loss was always just too much. Any recommendations?

compression levels. Play with the format and compression settings to
whatever satisfies your wants.

A great tool indeed. I'm getting best quality and good compression
with just a simple
